Workday Stabilisation Lead/Workday Financials Manager
Finance Operations & Control
This is a full-time, fixed term 6 Months position terms and conditions of employment.
Summary
This role resides within the Finance & Operational Control Directorate and within the Finance Systems Team. The role will report to the Finance systems manager and work alongside the Finance Systems Administrator. it will be primarily focused on the process of stabilising the new ERP Workday and the planning and delivery of the activities required to achieve this.
Key responsibilities
These include but are not limited to:
- Providing support to the SME in analysing and customising Workday delivered reports
- Manage and where necessary escalated support queries from SMEs and end users
- Recommend and implement testing for any changes configured on an adhoc basis ensuring capture of key reasoning and 'how to' in the systems knowledge repository
- Providing guidance and support to the Subject matter experts on problem areas as defined by them and exposing opportunities to enhance user experience
- Providing training and contributing to the Knowledge share on Workday financials - this may include hosting training and adhoc drop in sessions
- Training of the Financial Systems Administrator on general systems best practice
- Any other related stabilisation tasks as directed by the Systems Manager

Essential
Qualifications, experience and competencies:
- Experience of the following modules and areas of workday - Accounts payables, P2P, Financials, Business Processes mapping & Security
- Ability to plan & deliver discrete pieces of work as directed by the Financial Systems Manager
- Ability to Liaise with all levels of staff and deliver guidance and training as suitable
- A good team player that is technically minded with the ability to work without supervision
- Developed communication skills to understand end user concerns to aid with the changes/ fixes/ training requirements
- Familiarity with Workday Release methodology testing and preparation and ability to advise on value adding functionality
- Identification of opportunities to further enhance systems functionality
- Demonstrable experience working within a continuous improvement methodology
- Strong project accounting skills
- Substantial experience in testing and implementing system configuration changes
- Regression testing on Workday release experience
Desirable
Qualifications, experience and competencies:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in managing integrations and administration of adaptive insights
- Recognised Workday qualifications
