My client, a Top Tier Insurance firm based in London, is looking for an Actuarial Reserving Manager

This role will manage the coordination of the reserving process for UK & Europe. This key role will be highly visible, as you will have the opportunity to interact with and advise senior management. We are looking for an individual who is internally motivated, intellectually curious, has the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and tasks, and is driven to enhance existing processes.

Position Description:

  • Manage the timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly rollforward and detailed valuations review for UK and AESA reserve results.
  • This includes owning the reserving process as well as the timelines and various stakeholders outside of Actuarial.
  • Be the finance team point of contact and work with the Finance Team to ensure accurate representation of UK & AESA Reserve results in Finance and Actuarial systems
  • Coordinate of the deployment of Group Actuarial Reserving systems including user testing
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place for the reserving process
  • Lead coordination of the external audit reviews, independent reserve reviews, internal audit and SOX reviews on behalf of Actuarial
  • Coordinate the production of Year-End reserve reports
  • Support continuous improvement to key processes
  • Monitor adherence to procedures and methodologies.

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Qualified Actuary (FIA, FCAS) preferred
  • 7+ years experience in General Insurance
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective project management, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong business and collaboration skills; responsive to service needs and operational demands
