HYBRID WORKING - 2/3 DAYS FROM CENTRAL LONDON CAMPUS

  • Looking for an opportunity either Fixed Term or Permanent, to work on a School wide transformation programme, working alongside the Dept COO and Exec.Dean to design and deliver a new 5 year strategy?

This historic London University are currently going through an exciting period of growth and change, and with this they're evolving the Senior Leadership team. We're looking for an experience Director of Operations, or Chief Operations Office, to join this Schools Executive Leadership team, as the most senior Professional Services leader. Working alongside the Executive Dean, an internationally renowned historian and commentator, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery a new vision and 5-year plan to deliver their new strategic goals for the Schools. Whilst reporting to the University's Deputy COO, this role will also have strategic responsibility for ;

  • Effective leadership and day-to-day management of operational areas, with 4 direct reports across the Professional Services teams in administrative and technical support.
  • Ensuring the delivery of world-class student experience within a growing student population
  • Deputising for the Executive Dean as required, contributing to strategic, decision making within the School, encompassing strategic planning, financial management and risk management.
  • Building and maintaining key strategic partnerships, both internally with other Schools and other external partners
  • Adherence and implementation of Governance structures, in line with University policy and Government Legislation.

To be successful in this role, you should have;

  • Previous success with an academic environment, at a senior leadership level, managing complex Change projects
  • A track record developing practical strategic decisions into operational practice
  • Proven experience managing the delivery of corporate services, including strong financial planning and leadership
