Job description
Investigo Private Equity are currently recruiting for a PE funded SaaS company, who are looking to on board a new Finance Manager. The role has a very broad perspective and will see the successful Finance Manager take full P&L responsibility, for the sales function of the business. The Finance Manager will also manage a small team, who handle the more operational side of the function, whilst your responsibilities will be more commercially focused, helping senior management understand the data from a sales perspective. The suitable candidate will ideally be qualified from industry, however will also consider candidates who are qualified by experience.
Role
- Reviewing and approving of customer orders on the CRM system, working with Sales, Sales Operations and Legal teams to ensure all required information is complete and accurate
- Ensuring that revenue is recognised correctly on all customer subscription or consultancy contracts
- Ensuring that customer billing is completed in line with contract terms and customer requirements
- Ensuring that the CRM and accounting system/billing engine are fully reconciled
- Ensuring that commissions for Sales teams are accurately calculated on a monthly basis
- Review and oversight of deferred and accrued revenue reconciliations
- Identifying and investigating post-invoice commercial queries, and either resolving them or escalating them to senior operational management
- Assisting the Global Credit Controller to review aged debtor listings and acting as an escalation point
- Ensuring customer credit card payments are accurately reconciled on monthly basis
- Ensuring that output VAT/sales tax considerations are effectively identified and dealt with
- Working with the FP&A and Sales Operations teams to provide customer and revenue metrics/analysis
- Working with the Group Financial Controller and FP&A team on revenue, billing and cash forecasting
- Working with the Group Financial Controller on revenue queries as part of the year end audit process
- Working on ad hoc projects for the Global Head of Finance
Your Profile
- A qualified accountant is desired however not essential.
- A detailed understanding of revenue accounting (experience of recurring revenue is desired)
- An effective communicator
- Salesforce experience would be a plus
Salary
£60,000 - £65,000 (no bonus)
