West End + remote working

I am currently recruiting for a CIMA / ACCA / ACA finalist or part qualified Finance Manager to join an expanding FTSE 100 Retail company in the West End. My client has an incredible 3 year expansion plan with a lot of exciting change so this is the perfect time to be joining them! I would like to speak to experienced Finance Managers from within the Retail sector who are looking for a new and exciting challenge!

The role:

Support the Finance Business Partner to deliver the requirements of their role with specific responsibility as follows:
Assist in the delivery of regular LF and QFR Wssi reporting, analysis and insight.
Manage and coordinate the yearly budget and quarterly forecast processes regarding BMD HO Costs. Liaising with, and supporting, internal stakeholders to develop these plans.
Assist and co-ordinate the BMD Finance Analyst team complete the regular reporting tasks, ensuring the required quality and accuracy.
Drive business performance through accurate, reliable and insightful financial reporting and analysis, to aid commercial decision making
Drive efficiencies through developing and refining current processes and reporting.
Responsible for the co-ordination of the BMD analysts to ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting tasks are completed, supporting them to provide accurate and reliable insight into business performance. Ensuring timeliness and accuracy at all times, fixing any issues with our standard reporting that may arise. Manage changes and development of the weekly trade pack.
Support the FBP to prepare the BMD LF and QFR WSSI reports. Managing the requirements for Channel views and KPI analysis to aid understanding.
Review outputs at the detailed level to ensure full understanding of proposed forecasts and any potential Risks and Opportunities are highlighted.
Responsible for monthly accounting, budgeting and forecasting of BMD overheads,liaising with Core Finance and FP&A as required. Including responsibility for PO Approvals.
Seek to advance own and team's understanding of the functions and limitations of available reporting and planning tools (BO and M&LP)
Provide timely, accurate, and reliable insight in response to ad-hoc queries from Finance Business Partners or wider stakeholders.
Responsible for sales reporting and royalty calculations for third party license agreements
Build professional relationships across BMD, Finance and the wider business.
Deputise for the FBP as required.


Minimum level of education or qualifications
Finalist or Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

Essential skills/knowledge

Understands key components which drive business performance i.e. sales, markdown, intake, trade drivers and how they interact
Highly numerate and analytical, with strong attention to detail
Able to produce and interpret information from complex data, and present clear, compelling findings for both finance and non-finance colleagues
Strong commercial awareness and experience of managing cost budgets
Strong interpersonal skills, clearly articulate finance concepts to employees of all levels
Able to remain composed under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines
Systems literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Business Objects)
Advanced Excel skills
Adaptable to change
Enthusiastic, proactive problem solver and self-starter
Strong team player who is confident and personable
Previous experience working in a Commercial Finance role
Previous experience of working in a fast-paced retail environment.
