Due to a promotion my high growth small to medium sized Construction business requires a Financial Controller to support the MD and wider business.

Whilst reporting into the Managing Director the Financial Controller will actively contribute to the direction and future growth of the business and will form a part of the senior management team within a friendly and established business.

Whilst managing a small team your day to day accountabilities and duties will include:

Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 3.

Improving the current Financial Control, processes and policies to ensure overall good financial practice

Monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting

Acting as business partner to the different parts within the group in order to maximise profit, keep financial exposure to a minimum and support investments and potential acquisitions.

Development of decision making tools, KPI's and Dashboards

Cash management, Cash-flow reporting and maintain relationships with Bank

Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process as well as short and longer term financial planning

Cost control

Leading the annual audit

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant, ACA, CIMA or ACCA looking for a broad role within a friendly and profitable business with a strong record of staff retention.

The ideal candidate will be either somebody looking to take a step up from a Finance Manager to Financial Controller or equally a seasoned Financial Controller.
