Job description

This fantastic outside IR35 role 'gets technology delivered' through the IT workstreams. The ideal candidate heads the team that is the pathway for incoming technology requests from stakeholders into IT.

The team is the pathway to getting business problems solved through technology, so they must understand our current tech solutions / options, project delivery process and how IT 'works' to get the best outcome / solution, effectively and efficiently to meet stakeholder requirements

This position wil require 2 days a week on site on the outskirts of London.

  1. Lead the IT team in forward planning and identifying skills gaps / development opportunities within the team, to ensure the team is adaptive, flexible and has appropriate and current skills to deliver a demanding and broad project portfolio to meet stakeholder needs.
  2. Lead the team in managing the project portfolio and ensuring resources and project support are clearly defined and assigned to deliver timely and effective outcomes, quickly adapting to changing demands and requirements.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that projects have clear reporting and progress dashboards, and measurement against defined metrics and KPIs to engage senior stakeholders and senior IT colleagues
  4. Provide senior oversight of IT resource costs, with responsibility for ensuring effective management and attribution of resource costs against the appropriate budgets / project codes, as well as developing, with IT and finance colleagues, relevant project costing/charging methodologies.
  5. Lead on establishing processes and templates so that delivery and demand artifacts such as project proposals and user stories meet delivery and governance needs.
  6. Lead PMO engagement with the Programme Office and programme managers, product managers and product owners to identify project dependencies and future resource demand planning.
  7. Budget responsibility. Manage existing costs and identify ways to improve the cost efficiency of this area and all change activities.
