Job description

We're working with a London based Non-Profit that's going through a multi-year transformation journey, where they're upgrading their HR,Finance and Payroll Systems and they're looking for a Product Owner to help them through this transition.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Vision and Roadmap: Define and document the overarching vision for HR, Payroll, and Finance products and create a strategic roadmap that aligns with Certitude's goals.
2. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and user requirements, working with Business and System Analysts to identify critical features and functionalities on behalf of the business.
3. System Configuration and Role Based Access: Oversee solution configuration, including set-up of role-based access control defined from user roles and permissions required to grant or restrict access for users working with Digital System Analyst.
4. User Story Creation: Craft clear and concise user stories that capture end-user needs, working with analysts and the business to capture, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

5. Prioritisation Management: Prioritise features based on business impact, user value, and feasibility developing and maintaining or contributing to solution development.
6. Define Reporting Requirements: Identify and prioritise reports the system needs to generate based on stakeholder feedback and business needs to specify metrics, data source and formats for required data outputs.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration and communication: Work closely with external development teams to deliver and quality assure high-quality solutions, facilitate communication, regularly updating stakeholders and resolving any blockers.
8. Training Coordination: Collaborate internal Learning and Development, end users and supporting roles to ensure identified stakeholders and users are comfortable using the system and understand its capability functionalities.
9. Release Planning and Coordination: Plan product releases, considering dependencies and resource availability.
Coordinate release activities, including testing and deployment.
10. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Collaborate with development teams end-users during UAT to validate product functionality.
11. Transition to Business as Usual (BAU): Ensure smooth adoption of new solutions by business teams. Support the transition from project mode to BAU operations supporting documentation, training, handover and acceptance.
12. Feedback Incorporation: Gather feedback from stakeholders, users, and market trends and use feedback to iterate on product roadmap features and enhancements.
13. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to product development, plan and mitigate risks by making informed decisions.

Requirements:

 Experience in product management or a related field.
 Demonstrated understanding of product development including processes and efficiency's, market strategies, and customer engagement specific to HR, Payroll and Finance.
 Engaging and managing multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, ideally in the context of implementing significant change
 Working within a programme structure and contributing to Project Board meetings, papers and decision making
 Working independently, prioritising competing demands, achieving objectives
 Experience of successful management and change of complex processes and of developing customer relationships.
 Exposure to roles such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Product Manager is valuable.
 Specific experience in public or third sector environment
