Job description

The Accounts Payable Manager role is a 12-month fixed term contract focusing on transforming and establishing the Accounts Payable function as a Centre of Excellence within the Group Finance team. The role will support the design and roll-out best practice reporting capabilities in the P2P process and look to utilise the newly upgraded system more effectively.

  • Support the business in its system transition, ensuring processes and controls are robust and appropriate.
  • Partner with the technical team to understand process issues post the upgraded system implementation.
  • Provide guidance on system use to create a best-in-class AP environment.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for end-to-end accounts payable (including Concur) processes and controls.
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Review of weekly payment runs and reports.
  • Maintenance and review of the AP ledger across the corporate companies

The successful candidate will have a strong background of AP/P2P management within a large complex organisation combined with proven system implementation and process improvement projects. The role liaises directly with the SLT and therefore the ability to build relationships rapidly is key.
