Who are Amnesty International?

Amnesty International is one of the most prestigious charities in the world. The world's largest grassroots human rights organisation, it boasts a global movement of over seven million people - not to mention that they have won a Nobel Peace Prize for their lifesaving work.

Amnesty International investigates and exposes abuses, educates and mobilises the public, and helps transform societies to create a safer, more just world.

The opportunity

After recently delivering on an interim project for Amnesty International, I am delighted to be partnering with them once again to secure this business-critical hire. This is a fantastic time to join the organisation as they continue to drive seismic change throughout the business. This includes culture, systems, service improvement and reform of its People and Organisational Development (POD) programme, which supports managers on all people engagement issues from recruitment, development and career management to diversity and inclusion and health and wellbeing, with particularly attention to mental health.

As the Pay and Reward Manager, you will support the Director of People and Organisational Development and advise the International Secretariat on the international reward, compensation and benefits framework and agenda.

You will be a key member of the POD management team, bringing specialist support on matters relating to international mobility, pensions, remuneration packages and general reward programmes that enable talent attraction and retention in the UK and globally. At the same time, you will contribute to the whole people management agenda which makes the International Secretariat a highly engaging workplace and culture.

What's in it for you and why Amnesty International?

  • Opportunity to proudly work for one of the most prestigious charities in the world that make a huge difference in people's lives all around the globe
  • Opportunity to come in to the organisation during an interesting and exciting time where they are undergoing a large scale transformation, which you can be a part of and add value to!
  • Chance to work with some fantastic HR professionals that are incredibly passionate about working for the organisation and making the world a better place
  • Pension: 8% employer contribution. Employee contributions are optional and Amnesty will match up to 3% of employee contributions
  • Life insurance

  • Season ticket loan

"I've worked at Amnesty now for 4.5 years and I really have enjoyed the challenge. The people are brilliant and you really feel a sense of pride working here. When you wake up in the morning, you know that you are making a difference and are contributing to work that really matters!"
