I am currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant from the retail or hospitality sectors to join one of the World's Leading Cosmetic Companies. You will be joining at an exciting time whilst the business is expanding. The role offers fantastic benefits, but most importantly - working with an absolutely cracking team!

The Management Accountant will support the FRM and Group FC in developing appropriate financial and business controls in line with EMEA and HQ Requirements. You will play an important role in the month end close and will help ensure that the company's UK&I results are materially correct so that they can be consolidated within the EMEA results

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and improving the control environment

• The Management Accountants position will be expected to identify areas of continuous improvement, particularly in relation to opportunities to for a fast month end close process and for more effective and systemised control checks

Ensure the integrity of month end reporting

• Work with the FRM and Commercial Finance Analysts to deliver the month end close process across all UK&I Company Group brands
• Post journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations and other control checks post month end
• Full control of the Fixed Asset Register
• Ensure that their own knowledge of relevant accounting standards is kept up to date
• Support the FRM in developing good working relationships with the EMEA Accounting Team in Paris and The US

Audit and Tax Compliance

• Support the Finance Manager through the year end close process and audit with KPMG, working to deliver the year end timetable as agreed with KPMG and other key internal stakeholders

Candidate Specification:

• Part qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, CIMA) or by experience
• Recent exposure to IFRS and accounting standards
• Experience of working in a management accounting role in a medium company with exposure to month end reporting and cashflow/treasury reporting
• Strong excel skills with proven ability to manipulate data
• Experience of a working with SAP
• Financial control of key contracts
• Experience of how financial control environments operate and how they can be improved
