The role

I am delighted to be exclusively partnering a London-based Russell Group university to help build their brand new talent acquisition function.

You will manage the full recruitment process for professional services and academic staff to support the ground-breaking work at the new campus. The Recruitment Manager is integral to the successful delivery of this new offering and you will be an inspiring leader who is ready to shape and build the new recruitment team from the ground up.

As the Recruitment Manager, you will work with various stakeholders across the institution and lead a new recruiting team to continued success. You will play a key decision-making role in the new Recruitment Strategy Group, as well as participating in a number of ED&I and recruitment groups. If you are looking for a role to utilise your leadership skills and coach new members of the team, then this position is for you.

You will work closely with the Head of Recruitment and lead a team of 3 recruiters initially, with plans for further growth, to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience . With excellent candidate sourcing and attraction skills you will be familiar with best practice in recruitment delivery and be the go-to person for complex queries within the Recruiting team.

Working in the recruitment team, you will be part of an innovative, inclusive, and forward-thinking HR Division supporting a very diverse group of staffing groups across the institution. You will work closely with key team members in the HR Business Partnering team and senior leaders across the division. You will be responsible for attracting, assessing, and presenting great applicants to various departments at the campus.

With no two-days the same at within this top university - one day you could be leading the recruitment campaign for an academic role at their brand-new, cutting edge campus, and in another you could be leading on initiatives to drive greater diversity, or shaping and leading your team to provide a best-in-class service

You will also be expected to have a track record in driving EDI methodology when recruiting and be able to show results.

There is a vast amount of change that is rolling out with the new recruitment offering and therefore, you will need to be someone that enjoys driving change, someone that can roll up their sleeves and be able to work with ambiguity.

Why else should you apply?

  • Fantastic and very friendly line manager who gives staff the autonomy and freedom to drive their own innovation to improve the organisation
  • A fantastic wellbeing strategy/offering for all staff
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
