Remotely based (happy for this to be the case for the duration)

6 months (likely option to convert to perm if local to Glasgow offices / performance and appetite depending)

Duties: Role Purpose & Responsibilities

The SharePoint UX/UI Designer role is a key position within the SharePoint Services Centre Of Excellence.

The role holder will be part of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering the UX-led design vision across all our SharePoint and related Microsoft 365 platform services, reflecting our digital strategy and delivering innovative, creative, and highly purposeful solutions for colleagues across the bank.

The role holder will work closely with a wide range of business stakeholder to conduct user research, elaborate requirements, shape and deliver creative designs and get hands-on with site creation and UI enhancement.

The role sits within the Process Automation & Content team within Operations, reporting to the SharePoint UX Design Lead.

Many of the solutions and services we offer within the SharePoint Services CoE form the basis of our colleague digital strategy for communication and collaboration and the role holder will play a key role in helping us transform the way we work as a bank.

Business:

The role holder, as a member of the SharePoint Service CoE design team, will be accountable for delivering on the overall design vision and UX engagement strategy for the SharePoint Services team. This includes:

Leading on user and industry research to help shape design strategy

Delivering our design standards and driving adoption and governance of these across the SharePoint Services team and more widely across the bank

Scoping, estimating, implementing and supporting project and BAU service requests

Supporting the SharePoint Services BAU service request process

Helping drive innovation within the SharePoint Services CoE team, bridging what trends are occurring within industry to what we do as a team

Customer:

The role holder, as a member of the SharePoint Service CoE design team, will be accountable for delivering on our user and stakeholder engagement strategy, shaping the way in which we support our colleagues and customers. This includes:

Leading on user engagement and the setup of user focus groups to support user research, testing and improved user adoption

Supporting setup of communities of expertise within our user base

Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relations across all business units at senior level

Supporting the adoption and continuous improvement of our UX led design to ensure we reflect our user needs and drive purposeful outcomes in the solutions and services we provide

Skills & Experience:

Experience in designing and managing small, medium and large project implementations across SharePoint and a Microsoft365 environment Experience of designing for the digital workplace, specifically for modern intranets built on SharePoint Online Experience of designing for the Microsoft365 Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate flows Experience in planning enterprise information architecture within a Microsoft365 environment.

Experience of leading UX / UI teams, with the ability to demonstrate the how and why of a design and the implications if has for both the user and the business.

Experience in planning, engagement and prioritisation of projects and services with senior stakeholders Experience in leading user engagement and strategy for service adoption A proven ability to lead, motivate and influence people across business and technology domains Experience of working in a fast-moving environment with an ability to work on multiple engagements concurrently.

Knowledge:

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Microsoft functionality and standards in relation to SharePoint site design and user experience An up-to-date knowledge of latest design and UX trends in the areas of user engagement, collaboration and knowledge management Be able to recommend new product solutions and journeys that will enhance the user experience Strong interpersonal and influential skills to communicate and engage with colleagues across all areas of the bank.

A good understanding of delivery methodologies including agile and waterfall methods
