Trainee Accountant

About the Role
An established and growing accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its team in Reading This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently studying AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent) who is looking to develop their skills and progress within a supportive practice environment.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of accountancy tasks, with clear opportunities for progression as you advance through your studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

• Assisting with tax returns and VAT submissions

• Completing bookkeeping tasks and carrying out reconciliations

• Supporting payroll processing

• Communicating with clients and preparing financial reports

• Working with cloud-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools

Key Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience in an accountancy practice or recent graduate

• Currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)

• Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
