Trainer

£450-500 via umbrella (FCSA accredited) / Inside IR35

Hybrid (Leeds - circa 1 day a week/WFH)

6 months initially

Our client are seeking a Trainer to join their Transition Support team to support the stand up of a Shared Capability Centre being set up in India. The Capability Centre is a new Group initiative that will provide efficient and effective support to our global operations. This role will support the delivery of the training strategy for specific needs across Finance, HR Operations and Procurement.

As a Trainer, you will work closely with Functional SME's to determine the best method of delivery and the development of engaging and relevant supporting materials for the training programs. You will also be responsible for the delivery of training to the new employees in Hyderabad in collaboration with Functional SME's, ensuring that they acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to perform their roles successfully - using 'train the trainer' approach where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Training Strategy for the Capability Centre
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure training aligns with the goals of the shared service centre
  • Design and deliver training programs that foster operational excellence in core cross-functional capabilities
  • Develop a suitable 'train the trainer' approach (where required) to promote ongoing capability within the team and future proof training programmes for new joiners
  • Tailor training approaches to meet the unique needs of Finance Operation, HR Operations, and Procurement Operations
  • Integrate process innovation and transformation principles into training programs
  • Ensure that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for evolving processes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with HR, Functional SMEs, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely to understand training needs and align programs with organisational objectives
  • Facilitate a positive learning environment, encouraging employee development.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure continuous learning and improvement.

Key Skills and Experience

  • A relevant qualification or certification in training, adult learning, or a related field
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality training programs across various modes and platforms, such as classroom, online, blended, etc.
  • An understanding of the core cross functional capability and skill sets required for a shared service centre, such as communication, collaboration, customer service, problem-solving, etc.
  • Ability to translate complex functional specific needs and processes across Finance, HR Operations and Procurement in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse and multicultural audiences
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A collaborative and consultative approach, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with HR, Functional SME's and other stakeholders
  • A willingness to travel as required for the delivery of training and the support of the Capability Centre
