Job description
Management Accountant
£60,000 + discretionary bonus
Central London office - On Site (5 days per week)
Family office - Supporting a high net worth individual's finances and affairs
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle monthly invoice entries within the accounts payable platform, ensuring necessary approvals are in place and payments are processed in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform accounting tasks for a designated entity, including posting journal entries, verifying documentation, and participating in structured cost analysis activities.
- Conduct monthly ledger account reviews and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and process internal billing documents for intercompany services, consultancy fees, and other chargebacks.
- Engage in day-to-day financial operations involving general or cost accounting, applying accounting principles to ensure correct classification and recording of financial data.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements for a UK legal entity, collaborating with auditors by providing requested data and supporting schedules.
- Contribute to periodic financial reports, including monthly management accounts.
- File VAT returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Assist in preparing financial data for corporate tax submissions.
- Maintain accounting systems, with familiarity in Xero being a plus.
About You:
- Qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA / Qualified by Experience.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with FRS 101/102 and IFRS standards is beneficial.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
