With 4 direct reports, you'll play a crucial leadership role within the finance function, working across the full breadth of group accounting activities in a complex, multi-entity environment.

The Role

As Senior Group Accountant, you'll be responsible for the full spectrum of group accounting activities across this large, complex organisation. This is a genuinely varied and intellectually stimulating role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the group consolidation process across multiple entities
  • Overseeing statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Managing and developing a team of 4 finance professionals
  • Preparing and presenting high-quality management information for board and senior stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement in group accounting processes and systems
  • Ensuring technical accounting excellence with current IFRS standards
  • Collaborating with FP&A on strategic management reporting initiatives
  • Supporting the Head of Group Reporting on key group-wide accounting projects
  • Liaising with external auditors and maintaining strong technical control frameworks
  • Contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Requirements:

  • ACA qualified from a Big 4 background with solid post-qualified experience
  • OR ACCA/CIMA qualified with demonstrable experience in a large, complex accounting environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS standards - this is critical
  • Proven experience in group consolidations and statutory reporting
  • Experience working within a multi-entity, group structure
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ambitious mindset with clear desire for career progression
