Investigo supporting diversity

We are extremely pleased to announce that one of the attendees of our Women In’ event held at the Andaz hotel on the 13th September, Winnie Muriithi, was announced in The Telegraph as a finalist for the prestigious Black British Business Awards 2017 in the Consumer and Luxury Leader category.

The BBBA Awards are the only premium awards programme designed to recognise exceptional and inspirational achievements of black entrepreneurs and professionals operating across the UK. They support and promote business excellence, transcend stereotypes and highlight the often-unsung contributions of black business people to the British economy.

Winnie began her schooling in Kenya before moving to the United Kingdom where she pursued and was awarded a PhD in Cambridge and an EMBA at the Warwick Business School. She has held senior managerial roles at Unilever plc, PWC LLP and currently, British American Tobacco plc. In a career spanning four continents, she has led multidisciplinary teams in delivering innovation and advisory consulting game-changing results during the past 15 years.

Winnie is one of the people who are helping to build a diverse and dynamic workforce and open up opportunities for those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds to build a better life. We wish her the best of luck on the 19th October at the Awards gala. If you would like to get in touch with Winnie, please contact her on winmuri@gmail.com

The purpose of the ‘Women In’ event was to bring together senior women in business and offer them career coaching, practical advice on how they can tackle problems of any size through the GROW (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) technique as well as tips on how to review both jobs and companies to find the best next step for their personal life and career. We will be holding similar events in the future. If you would like to attend or find out more, please contact paul.mullins@investigo.co.uk.
