IT Project Manager (Insurance)

IT Project Manager required by a Leading Lloyd's Market Insurer in London on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis offering a full list of benefits that included holiday, sick pay, pension etc. The position has the potential long term to go permanent and the client is committed to interviewing, offering, and on-boarding remotely.

The position sits with IT and will work initially on projects focused on Distributed Files Systems, Storage Capacity Management, backup & recovery as well as a number of small-scale projects. The position will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders across the business including actuarial, underwriting, claims etc so requires candidates with previous insurance experience and strong communication skills.

The business is at the early stages of moving into the cloud and have large digital transformation plans moving forward so should offer some great project exposure in the future

Candidates will need to a have a strong end to end project background that incorporates a variety of IT projects which includes some infrastructure exposure. Insurance industry experience is also essential.

Required experience

  • Proven IT project experience which includes infrastructure, Storage, Networks etc.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous insurance industry knowledge and a good understanding of basic insurance process / procedures.
