I am recruiting for an accounts assistant to join a Global Travel organisation in North London. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to start their career in finance. You will gain experience in both AR and AP, work alongside a supportive and engaging team. This role requires you to have excellent attention to detail, be accountable, a quick learner and strong team player
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Daily review of bank statements from various payment portals
- Collate statement information into excel for processing.
- Create upload file for IT (in excel, training provided)
- Processing payables invoices through to payment.
- Paying staff expenses
- Dealing with suppliers regarding payments.
- Post receipts manually that cannot be uploaded.
- Post receipts to Sage (manual and upload)
- Perform reconciliation of the systems
- Answer receipts/payments queries
- Create agents' statements and email them
- Establish good relationships with clients.
- Reconcile agent statements to our systems, answer any rel. query
- Keep all systems up-to-date with recent receipts
- Post refunds to the system
- Aid bank reconciliations
- Aid month-end procedures
- Keep track of remittances and address queries if different from expected.
Experience and skills:
- Previous AP or AR experience, support and training will be provided for areas that need more exposure.
- Impeccable attention to detail and faultless accuracy.
- Good organisation and time planning skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage and meet key deadlines.
- Team player who enjoys working cross-functionally.
- Must be organised, thorough and accurate, always demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
