Investigo are delighted to be exclusively supporting a Northampton based FTSE Listed organisation with their recruitment of a newly created Commercial Manager position, on a permanent basis.


The Commercial Manager will act as a number 2 to the Divisional Managing Director, and they will evaluate, design, execute, measure, monitor, and control business processes to identify issues and to recommend areas of improvement to assist in making well-informed commercial decisions, enhancing profitability and assisting the business with its strategic goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing data and statistics from a number of different operating systems in order to provide insights into client contract performance
  • Designing, developing, and implementing new business models; streamlining and reengineering existing business processes and introducing innovation to maximise efficiency
  • Acting as a central point of responsibility to manage and monitor KPI and SLA performance data across the business, presenting analyses on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
  • Developing and maintaining a robust end-to-end processes to ensure jobs are costed accurately and processed on a timely basis
  • Working collaboratively with operations and finance teams to help improve the management of business processes to meet changing business needs
  • Using proven business process tools and techniques to establish root cause issues and solutions
  • Developing best practices and initiatives for continuous business process improvements
  • Assisting in budget planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and schedule to implement process improvements
  • Assisting in making business decisions relating to system implementation, modification, maintenance, etc.
  • Presenting analyses, solutions, and business cases to senior management
  • Implements and oversees the analytical approaches and methodologies.


The successful Candidate will possess an overarching skillset that encompasses analysis, business partnering, commercial management and process improvement/implementation. They will be an exceptional communicator who has the ability to influence and effectively support Finance, IT, MI and Operations, whilst also providing the Divisional MD with insight to business performance, including opportunities to drive profitability and highlighting risks to business.

Our Client is offering a salary of £65,000 - £70,000 + Car + Bonus + Benefits.
