Company Overview

You will be working for a very prestigious and well-established Private Education Provider as their Credit Controller on a rolling temporary basis. You will be part of a large finance team, reporting into the Finance Manager, who will be there to support you from day one. You will be based in their modern Central London office 2 days a week, with the option to work from home for the remaining 3 days.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Credit Control process from invoicing to payment collection, ensuring adherence to established Credit policies. You will proactively chase overdue payments through various communication channels (starting with email and following up with phone calls) whilst maintaining positive relationships. You will investigate and resolve complex billing and payment issues, collaborating with internal teams and clients to achieve timely resolution. You will generate and analyse credit reports, providing regular updates to the management team on the status of outstanding accounts. You will support with the training and mentoring of junior members of the Credit Control team on an ad-hoc basis.

Role Requirements

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess at least 1-2 years of relevant Credit Control experience and be available to start at short notice. You will be a proactive, tenacious, articulate and professional individual with a clear passion for your chosen career pathway. You will have previously used an Accountancy software such as Sage 50 or Sage Intacct and be confident with the use of Excel to an intermediate level. You will possess outstanding communication skills, demonstrate a collaborative approach and display excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to work well independently and as part of a wider team.

You will receive a competitive day rate + benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. Although this will start as an initial temporary contract, there could be scope for this role to be extended or made permanent. The role will be a minimum of six months to begin with.
