Job description

Investigo are seeking a Credit Controller to join a Property business based in North London on a full time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Property company that offer excellent career progression. The role will be situated as part of the Credit Control team and within the Client Accounting department to deal with all aspects of Credit Control.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the Finance Assistance to commence the process of reminders and final notices
  • Processing of late payment fees ensuring recorded effectively within 3 days prior to month end reporting
  • Reviewing appropriate cases in a timely manner prior to solicitor referral,ensuring all appropriate avenues of contact are made to ensure measures are covered
  • Ensuring all property owner communication is indexed in the system upon receipt, ensuring responses are made within the agreed service levels and the account is checked appropriately on systems
  • Answering calls/emails/letters in relation to Credit Control matters and assisting on tasks
  • Responding to debtor disputes and escalating appropriate cases within the credit control team, PM's and/or the operations managers as appropriate
  • Liaising with the Property Transfer Department regarding queries which relate to sales/change of ownership
  • Liaising with the Property Managers through the arrears process, as necessary to ensure action is taken
  • Raising payments within the agreed timescales for solicitors relating to legal/court/hearing fees
  • Providing updates/reports to Property Managers on the progress of cases, where required for internal or client use

Essential Skills:

  • Previous Credit Controller experience and/or experience working within a Property Management Environment
  • Excellent communication skills and positive approach to challenges
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Able to be a team player and contribute
  • AAT Qualified or equivalent
  • Experience using Qube systems are desirable
