GLOBAL SECURITY ARCHITECT

This position is a remote role within the UK. There will be occasional requirement to travel to the London office a few times yearly.

Brief Summary:

The role of the Global Principal Cyber Security Architect will be to drive the development of systems and business processes to a secure and compliant solution while allowing the business to operate and innovate as needed. This role leads in the design and communication of high-level structures to enable and guide in the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. Additionally, this role will serve as the chief subject matter expert in cyber security related issues and close advisor to the Global CISO.

Essential Activities:

  • Builds long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external). Facilitates the engagement of stakeholders in support of the delivery of services and change projects. Acts as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders, facilitating relationships between them.
  • Negotiates to ensure that stakeholders understand and agree on what will meet their needs, and that appropriate agreements are defined. Oversees monitoring of relationships including lessons learned and appropriate feedback. Leads actions to improve relations and open communications with and between stakeholders.
  • Develops models and plans to drive the execution of the cyber security strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance. Contributes to creating and reviewing a systems capability strategy which meets the cyber security program's strategic requirements. Determines requirements and specifies effective cyber security related business processes, through improvements in technology, information or data practices, organization, roles, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ensures cyber security architectural principles are applied during design to reduce risk. Drives adoption and adherence to policy, standards, and guidelines. Contributes to the development of organizational strategies that address information control requirements. Identifies and monitors environmental and market trends and proactively assesses impact on business strategies, benefits and risks.
  • Performs technical assessments and/or accreditation of complex or higher-risk information systems. Identifies risk mitigation measures required in addition to the standard organization or domain measures. Establishes the requirement for accreditation evidence from delivery partners and communicates accreditation requirements to stakeholders.
  • Identifies risks and vulnerabilities, assesses their impact and probability, develops mitigation strategies, and reports out accordingly.
  • Reviews new change proposals and provides specialist advice on information and records management. Assesses and manages information-related risks. Contributes to the development of policy, standards, and procedures for compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Leads reviews of governance practices with appropriate and sufficient independence from management activity.

Requirements:

  • Min 7-10 years of experience and bachelor's degree required
  • Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related is preferred

Experience:

  • Experience in managing security infrastructure.
  • Experience using architecture methodologies.
  • Able to work collaboratively and sustain effective working relationships with diverse colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
  • Cross-functional technology background with the ability to articulate conceptual aspects and best practices of service experience, productivity and automation, data analytics, ITIL, and IT service management
  • Experience in consulting IT teams (preferred).
  • Leadership experience of managing a team in a fast-moving, virtual, international, and demanding work environment (preferred).
