Group Financial Accountant - £65-70k - Central London c. 2 days a week

My client is a Major Tech business listed on the FTSE 100 and looking to hire a strong Group Financial Reporting accountant ideally from a Big 4 background or an existing Group function.

As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for reporting consolidated results for the in a timely manner interacting with senior management on key variances.

The role

Sitting in the reporting division located in London, the Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting, data delivery and consolidated monthly results.

Key areas of ownership for the successful candidate will include technical accounting queries, half and full year statutory reporting and review of technical standards to ensure that accounting treatment is correct.

In addition to enhancing the strong foundations in financial reporting built in practice, you will also develop your commercial knowledge within an industry setting, liaising with the operational side of the business and finance analysts as part of your month-end responsibilities. To fully exploit this opportunity, you will need to have a commercially aware mind and be willing to apply your own analysis where required.

You will regularly interact with senior management, meaning that stakeholder management skills and an affable personality are a must. This role requires a strong performer and somebody with the ambition and intellect to apply their own insights were possible and suggest improvements to existing processes. You will need to be able to dissect data and understand the key variances to forecast and communicate this in a clear and concise way.

Your background

You will be a qualified accountant ideally from a practice background (ACA) or has already worked within a group function and be looking to move into an exciting listed and internationally renowned brand where you can develop your existing skillset in an industry setting.

This role will be based in Central London (with flexible working)
