Job description

A fantastic opportunity is available for Group Reporting Manager to be a pivotal member of the large Finance team.

My client is an international leading leisure business who are looking for a Group Reporting Manager, who will be responsible for ensuring that the Group's annual and interim accounts to shareholders and to the UK Stock Exchange are prepared to the highest standards and within the Group's reporting deadlines.

This role is responsible for:

  • Assist with the completion of external announcements and annual/interim report to meet the UK regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance across the Group - Board, Senior management and Divisional finance teams in accordance with IFRS & UK GAAP.
  • Prepare UK statutory accounts including ones for dormant companies.
  • Assist with the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including the consolidated Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Support Finance teams based in other UK sites through month end, the budget process, financial analysis and other ad hoc projects.
  • Maintain a focus on strong internal controls and develop further the Group Reporting department's processes to ensure consistent compliance with best practice; Provide analysis to assist with strategic and operational decision making.

The skills and experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Confident at challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • Computer literate with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Strong planning, organising and monitoring abilities - an efficient time-manager;
  • Good communication skills
