Head of Networks

Head of Networks and Telecommunication:

This role is responsible for maintaining overall network plans to support my clients business strategy and plans all aspects of the infrastructure.

• Reviews network costs and approves proposals to change network design when appropriate.
• Forecasts network needs to meet current organisational communications strategies and contributes to policy for strategic and effective use of communications technology within own organisation.
• Initiates and monitors research, development and long term planning for provision and use of communications standards, architectures, products and services. Reviews benchmarks and network metrics.
• Reviews network performance including demand usage. Initiates any required changes in organisation to ensure service levels continue to be met.
• Takes responsibility for architecting, estimating and planning of large communications projects, giving technical leadership to others.
• Takes responsibility for network compliance with statutory national and international regulations and standards and provides authoritative advice and guidance.
• Takes responsibility for major decision making in the planning of communications networks
