Head of Prudential Regulation - Banking Sector - City of London - Salary £165k-£175k + excellent benefits package

Profile:

A senior Prudential Regulation hire working for a London based Bank in the City. Will have overall responsibility for reporting to the PRA, FCA and Bank of England. The role will also oversee management of the Banks balance sheet with regards to capital, funding, and liquidity.

You will also have a significant input into project work including implementation of new regulatory requirements, working closely with CFO to manage governance and controls and work on Finance change programmes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversight of the Regulatory Reporting and Reg Policy function in Finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in regulatory reporting to esteemed bodies such as PRA, FCA, and the Bank of England.
  • Ensure adherence to the capital, funding, and liquidity management frameworks for the Bank (limits, stress testing, planning, forecasting, ICAAP, ILAAP, etc.).
  • Mentor and develop a talented team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Forge strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, driving collaboration on regulatory changes and capital efficiencies.
  • Uphold rigorous control over regulatory reporting and ensure adherence to capital, funding, and liquidity management frameworks.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by understanding upcoming regulatory changes and implementing them effectively.
  • Support with new products or Bank-wide projects and initiatives and ensure that they are correctly evaluated for regulatory implications and accounting.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive background in prudential regulation within Financial Services, with a deep understanding of FCA and PRA regulatory regimes.
  • Regulatory Reporting experience - strong knowledge of production and overseeing the accounting process.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams, with excellent communication skills across all levels of stakeholders.
  • Advanced numeracy and computer literacy skills are essential.
  • Experience of managing a senior team.
