HR Business Partner / ER Specialist
Remotely based
3 months initial contract
£200-225pd (via an umbrella / PAYE - this client no longer works with PSCs)
Looking for an early May start date (those who are available immediately will be the ideal applicant)

Role: To provide end to end HR leadership and support on a 3-month restructure. Working closely with the leadership team you will manage the HR responsibilities of the restructure. This will include managing the collective and individual consultation and guiding managers on process. The scope of the restructure is circa 50 people. They are not covered by our Unite Bargaining Unit, so employee representatives would need to elected and trained.

Responsibilities

  • Lead collective and individual consultation
  • Train employee representatives
  • Provide a resource plan to ensure circa 150 individual consultations are completed
  • Manage all HR administration relating to consultation
  • Support Line Manager and employees with questions about consultation
  • Support redeployment efforts as part of individual consultation
  • Manage redundancy process and appeals
  • Answer questions on Notice, PILON, benefits, redundancy terms etc
  • Initiate outplacement

Key skills and experience

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent (v flexible on this, practical experience i.e. worked through 2-3 restructures previously is more important)
  • Employee Relations experience
  • Good knowledge of the UK employment law surrounding consultation and redundancy
  • Proven experience of managing end to end restructures
  • Organised, with good project management skills


Other Information

  • You will not be required to develop the organisational design
  • End to end templates for all aspects of individual consultation - letters, calculations, terms etc exist in full, you will not be required to create these
  • In house legal support and ER support is readily available
  • Global outplacement contract and other processes exist
