The Technology and Change Delivery teams are the experts behind our Technology Strategy, and lead our ability to meet the needs of Customer, Operations and Corporate functions. Responsible for our architecture and delivering Strategies in an Agile way that allows us to harness efficiencies and roll out complex projects and programmes.
We are now looking for a SAP BASIS Lead to join us on this journey. This means no two days will ever be the same but as a SAP BASIS Lead you will need to really own it and can expect your role to involve.
What will the role involve:
o Actively monitor the SAP Roadmaps for technologies within their technology specialism, identifying risks and opportunities arising from these roadmaps and provide recommendations to the SAP Platform Architect, the wider SAP Solutions Team and business Subject Matter Experts

o Conduct prototyping/proof of concept activities to demonstrate potential new capabilities
o Ability to influence the SAP roadmap in their technology specialism to benefit Kelda Group
o Ensure that appropriate standards, patterns and frameworks are established, maintained and adhered to.
o Develop a network of contacts within external organisations to enable sharing of ideas and best practise
o Develop and maintain a working knowledge of other SAP technology specialisms to ensure overall designs and architectures are consistent
o Provide technical expertise to support the application of system fixes, patches, upgrades and decommissioning of SAP Platforms
o Seek innovative and creative technical solutions to business opportunities and technical challenges, leading the development and implementation of the SAP Platform strategy within their Platform specialism
o Undertake a Technical Lead role on projects
o Identify and manage SAP Platform related risks on projects
o Actively manage the delivery of 3rd Party deliverables
o Work with Technology Framework Partners to enhance the services provided by the technology, reduce costs, manage risk and build resilience.
o Work with the SAP Solutions Functional Leads to develop business process and systems integration knowledge.

A SAP BASIS Lead who fosters a culture of excellence by defining and refining methods, standards, governance and assurance throughout everything they do.

What skills are we looking for:

• Proven, solid experience in a similar technical SAP Platform/Solutions role, covering areas such as SAP roadmap, architecture, design, deployment & support. We are looking for good all round BASIS experience & SolMan experience.
• Knowledge & understanding of service continuity planning & IT security.
• Proven ability to design and deliver complex SAP solutions across a range of technologies and business scenarios
• Good all-round SAP applications knowledge to support the application of system fixes, patches, upgrades and decommissioning of SAP Platforms
• Have been involved with Cloud deployment & migration strategies for SAP
• Experience of taking a lead on large-scale SAP implementations / upgrades / migrations / conversion project's.
