SAP SOLUTION ARCHITECT
The Project Team is a highly engaged group of experts building operational excellence through: efficient high-quality process and controls; technology enablers; sustaining knowledge and capabilities.
Purpose of role:
The Solution Architect is responsible for the leadership and development of the technology solutions and mapping of the business requirements to system/technical requirements ensuring they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. Driving Operational Excellence through standardisation/simplification of systems and enabling continuous improvement across. Focused on the design and deployment of the solution architecture and leadership of the primary integration points.
RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Key responsibilities include: - Ownership of the end-to-end design and deployment of the solution
- Provide solution leadership and support to the technical architecture team
- Provide input and interface into the overarching technical design authority
- Support and mentor the development teams in delivering joined up end to end solutions providing guidance and best practice where necessary
- Lead solutions that are fit for purpose in terms of strategic alignment, quality, cost and time
- Lead the creation of robust end to end solutions that align all technology components in the process
- Ensure all of the components of a solution are considered and aligned including; functional and non-functional design, integration, infrastructure, security and service transition
- Key contributor to the target architecture and technology roadmaps Working with vendors to understand technology roadmaps and the best use of technology
- Solution designs aligned to target architecture and approved by Technical Design Authority
- Recommendations and input to the evolution of the target architecture
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge to support design prototyping projects and maximise the value of prototyping by taking forward the learnings and outputs into the solution and end-to-end design
- Lead the creation of project deliverables and complete key deliverables in accordance with the project plan timeline
- Ensure the SAP Landscape is designed for effective maintenance on an ongoing basis and drives business benefit
- Manage escalations necessary to ensure solution integrity and efficiency, and ensure senior management is aware of significant issues or opportunities
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the SAP product set and its strategic direction
- Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment
- Work with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and business leaders to understand the drivers and objectives of key initiatives

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: |
Key experiences:- Bachelor's degree required
- 5-7 years' experience in SAP Architecture
- Experience of large scale SAP implementations and transformation programmes
- Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure would be an advantage
- Demonstrate with recent track record of delivering an architecture and design service on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas and Enterprise domains
- Sound overall knowledge of application capabilities, integration, data design methodologies and industry best practices
- Ability to understand a wide range of disciplines in enough detail to communicate effectively with experts in those areas to enable delivery of E2E solutions designs
- Working knowledge and/or experience of delivering solutions architectures and designs for one or more of the enterprise product sets
- Demonstrable experience in implementing Architecture Development and Governance Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and ability to understand, guide and/or solution the business, application, data and infrastructure domains of architecture
- Possess a solid understanding of AGILE development methodologies
- Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to senior management in a persuasive and convincing manner
- Experience working for a multinational organisation and working with colleagues internationally and demonstrated mobility
- Demonstrable service industry knowledge - ideally with focus on food service industry
- Experience in a process-driven environment
- Proven leader with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing teams; remote management
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- Skilled in building strong external and internal strategic relationships
- Proficient in influencing overall business results while managing the risk profile of the business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in English language
