Senior Finance Analyst

Company overview:

My client is multi-national Publishing business listed on the LSE and is a constituent of the FTSE 100. Belfast heads up a number of their important functions including finance.

Role:

This is a newly created role, sitting within their finance team looking after cost, the P&L, business partnering and the budgeting & forecasting process.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse the P&L, providing reports and recommendations to management based on performance.
• Produce budgets and forecasts for sales and other areas of the business.
• Create financial models, for scenario planning, product development and new marketing strategies.
• Business partner with critical areas of the business, analysing where they are up-to against budget.

Profile:

• Qualified accountant with an appropriate membership, or an experienced QBE candidate.
• Demonstrable experience in the planning, budgeting and forecasting area, producing management information for decision making.
• Well-developed analytical skills, with a proven ability to review and analyse financial data and explain the results to senior management.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office suites, specifically Excel (v-lookUps, SumIfs and Pivot Tables).
• Experience of finance ERP systems (Oracle preferred, but not essential).

Whats on offer?

An initial 3 month contract with the potential to go permanent. A competitive day rate of £250-300 p/d (PAYE or Umbrella - NO limited companies).
