Job description

A vibrant and innovative university in London is seeking to recruit a Student System SITS Developer on a permanent basis to join their growing applications team. This is a fully remote role with excellent benefits.

We are seeking to recruit a Student System SITS Developer who is ready to enhance their career progression and utilise their current experience whilst developing themselves and their SITS development skill set further. If you are looking to step up and progress your SITS development to the next level, be able to have a say in the team and love to use your own initiative to get things done, this is the role for you.

You will need to have some SITS Development experience with e:Vision. This is not a junior role but it is a mid level role where the ideal candidate will have some - to a lot of current SITS development experience including e:Vision.

Purpose of role:
The primary role function is the development, configuration, and maintenance of SITS as the institutional student record system, encompassing:

Providing specialist SITS development knowledge with hands on experience to inform business process decisions, as well as planning and delivering associated developments across the whole student lifecycle.

Providing SITS expertise to support the effective running of the student records system, as well as contributing to Departmental and University wide projects to meet the University's Objectives.

Working closely with suppliers and university stakeholders, and in doing so the role holder will be an intrinsic part of discussions relating to SITS related projects.


Key duties and responsibilities:

* Where required co-ordinate and contribute to the development of processes and functionality within SITS Client and e:Vision.

* Manage requirements gathering for SITS developments where the post holder has responsibility.

* Be responsible for the co-ordination of testing of developments and perform fault fixes where issues arise.

* Manage and co-ordinate the development of training materials, technical documentation, and manuals as part of developments undertaken.

* Deliver SITS Upgrade and monthly hotfixes.


This is a role where you will have the opportunity and autonomy to develop your own skills and take ownership of your role on a day to day basis. You will have the chance to be involved and contribute ideas to the overall plan of what needs to get done. This role requires you to be a person who is able to work without prompting and work to your own initiative.
This is a busy role where you can develop your SITS development skills quickly.
