AWS Data Architect

My client is FTSE100 organisation who is looking for an AWS Data Architect. You will own the analytics architecture deployed within AWS and be responsible for identifying, designing, and building innovative solutions to fine tune the team's performance and improve our service to the business community.

This is a hands-on role, and you will be expected to participate in the full life cycle of definition, design, implementation, testing, and support of new and existing solutions. You will be a passionate technical expert, able to translate technical constructs to a non-technical audience, as well as helping to upskill and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands on delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions utilising AWS and complimentary services.
• Manage and maintain existing solutions.
• Implement technical best practices within the AWS services utilised by the team.
• Lead technical discussions, relating to the analytics AWS footprint, with the other areas of the business in all areas of data and analytics.
• Develop Redshift code end-to-end from design, development, deployment to support.
• Mentor junior engineers providing technical support and guidance.
• Own, write, and manage documentation of the analytics architecture.

Must have experience:

• Must have proven history of multiple analytics projects on AWS.
• Experience in establishing a secure Redshift environment in a shared infrastructure model
• Extensive experience in Architecting, designing, and implementing the data flow from source systems into an AWS Data Lake.
• Expert in establishing implementation strategies for enterprise data warehouse with primary focus on Business intelligence, Analytics and Data governance.
• Hands on expertise in Data ingestion, integration and ETL architecture.
• Experience in managing a cost effective and secure AWS environment.
• Hands on experience in advanced Data model/Data mart design.
