Job description

Investigo Finance are recruiting a Bookkeeper/ Payroll Assistant for an accountancy firm based in Towcester.

In the position of Bookkeeper/ Payroll Assistant Towcester you will report into the Senior Manager carrying out all book keeping duties in line with company standards. Duties to include:

  • Bookkeeping for Companies, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Charities, Syndicates, BPRA's & EZ's
  • Preparation of Payroll weekly and monthly for clients
  • Preparation of VAT Returns, monthly, quarterly, as required for clients including application of Accrual, Cash, Flat Rate & Partial Exemption Schemes
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Preparation of Annual Unaudited Accounts for Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships, Partnerships, Sole Traders, Charities, Pension Schemes
  • Preparation and completion of Corporation Tax and Personal Tax computations
  • Establish New and build current business relationships, and assist in developing the recurring fees of the operation./ accounts department
  • Identify areas where processes and efficiency's can be improved, in order to assist in meeting the goals set out for the partnership as a whole
  • Support the partners & Company Accountant
  • Support partners with new and existing clients and to maintain professional client relationships
  • Provide clients with all round compliance and technical expertise, and identify opportunities where existing services offered could be enhance

The Profile

The successful candidate will need to have previous accounting experience in either bookkeeping or Payroll

Attention to detail and ability to manage own work load/ client portfolio

Good level of excel/ ERP systems experience (preferably Xero)

The Salary

£20,000 to £23,000 plus benefits. Working hours are Mon to Thursday (37.5 hours)
