Job description

Investigo are recruiting for a Capital Projects Accountant for an exciting 6-month Fixed Term Contract, with a central London based property company. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your skills within a progressive and commercial environment.

The role is paying from £50,000 - £55,000 pro rata, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance to regional Construction Managers with reference to highly complex financial information supporting capital business cases
  • Deliver high quality finance support to the company focused on supporting the capitalisation of completed capital projects
  • Ensure that The Company correctly accounts for all its fixed assets according to IFRS and any other relevant UK Reporting requirements
  • Support the Head of Property and Capital Finance with the company's wider financial strategy by contributing to the development and implementation of national policy on the financial aspects of capital investment and non-current asset management
  • Lead the review of Assets Under Construction and work with the Construction team to ensure that all completed projects are capitalised
  • Support the operational management of the capital accounting function
  • Support the Asset Management Business Partnering team as required
  • Project and ad hoc duties

Role requirements

  • Qualified CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Proven technical skills and ability to remain effective under pressure
  • Advanced understanding of financial management and financial accounting
  • Capital accounting, audit/ professional services background
  • Experience of investigation and analysis of financial issues and evidence of detailed and precise report writing
  • Excellent organisational skills and experience implementing change
  • Proven technical skills and ability to remain effective under pressure
  • A team player who has experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
