Job description

To work as part of the client service team responsible for the day-to-day servicing of clients in a fast growing asset management company.

The chosen candidate will work closely with the senior members of the client service team and the client coverage team on EMEA-based institutional and intermediary clients and will support the client base throughout the client's full life cycle.

They will be the contact point between clients and the internal support areas including legal, compliance, portfolio management, risk, reporting, and operations.

This is a 'hands-on' position that requires an understanding of the asset management industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Facilitating clients' servicing requirements
* Assisting with the onboarding of new separate accounts and on mandate changes while ensuring senior client coverage colleagues and the portfolio managers are fully briefed
* Working with the transfer agent on the onboarding of UCITS fund investors
* Ensuring all clients' reporting is checked and delivered in accordance with their requirements and our legal obligations
* Understand clients' investment objectives, assigned mandate and portfolio composition & strategy
* Will gain knowledge and be able to articulate on Neuberger Berman's broad platform of strategies and products
* Internal advocate for the client; liaise with US, European and Asian-based portfolio managers with appropriate insight into the client's requirements
* Maintain an ongoing dialog with our clients, addressing all routine requests for information and coordinating client meetings
* Liaise and establish strong relationships with internal support teams including client reporting, risk, legal, compliance, operations etc. to ensure client portfolio servicing needs are met
* Participate in team projects to enhance internal client service procedures in accordance with industry best practices
* Understand client needs and identify the risks associated with their requests

Key Requirements / Qualifications: (essential unless stated)


* Client service experience within the investment management industry with knowledge of the servicing needs of clients invested in both fund vehicles and segregated mandates; will consider previous relevant experience in other areas
* Knowledge of equity and fixed income strategies
* Knowledge of alternative investment strategies (optional)
* Knowledge of the process of onboarding segregated accounts (optional)
* Awareness of IMA and other legal documentation negotiations
* Knowledge of European Regulation in relation to the asset management industry
* Excellent presentation, writing and oral communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Self-starter
* A proven ability to build and develop strong internal and external relationships
* Highly organized
* Team player and highly motivated
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* IMC or equivalent qualification (optional)
* Language requirements: Business Italian (optional)
