Job description

Investigo are Partnering with a high growth Hertfordshire based Infrastructure business in recruiting a Head of Finance to Partner with IT across the Group to drive value for money, synergy and successful ongoing investment.

As the Head of Finance - IT you will manage and support all financial aspects of the IT services provisioned or overseen by Group IT. This includes internal services, managed services and individual supplier agreements ensuring that value for money is delivered.
The Head of Finance - IT will be key in driving the success and direction of IT investment. Responsible for partnering key operational stakeholders to influence decision-making through reporting, analysis and financial modelling.
Work closely with Finance and IT colleagues on operational expenditure across various IT services and projects. Ensuring robust accounting practice and driving insightful reporting and analysis.

Key Accountabilities and duties include:

  • Strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting for the Group's IT budget
  • Manage the IT budget allocations across all divisions and liaise with Divisional and Group Finance and relevant stakeholders at Divisional and Group level
  • Monthly IT Budget reviews, including generation of base data for input into the Annual Budget process
  • Month end reporting and analysis, providing insightful analysis of month end performance, identifying key variances, underlying causes, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders
  • Lead analysis of IT costs and recharges across the Group, manage key relationships within the Divisional teams and proactively identify and deliver best practice process improvements
  • Analyse financial data, monitor expenditure, forecast spend, ensuring accuracy of financial information and ensure costs are correctly classified
  • Finance management to support major change programmes.
  • Monitor and review project spend, providing commercial tracking of large projects.
  • Effectively monitor and manage the SLAs and KPIs to measure service performance.
  • Manage resources to ensure good practice is adopted and ensure that employees personally develop and are motivated.

You will be an experienced Commercial Finance professional with a track record of building relationships across multiple stake holders and the ability to identify and drive successful projects
