A large and complex business going through substantial change are currently seeking a Director Applications, Digital and Data to set the strategy and vision for the application estate and data and digital projects within the UK&I region of a global business. This role is all about driving a large-scale transformation and designing and building an operating model to encompass data and digital into the application portfolio, creating a more product-led business. You'll also be responsible for supporting innovation in this area to incorporate new technology developments such as AI, Automation and data driven decision making. Underpinning this transformation will also be a substantial rationalisation of the legacy estate to focus on new development of data and business capabilities to become application agnostic, as well as establish transversal processes, frameworks, methods and tools to drive synergies and integration

The appointed candidate will have experience of developing and delivering applications, digital and data strategy and roadmaps (with a strong focus of applications and digital). This role is very transformational and requires as shift from a legacy 250+ applications estate, to a new operating model with a rationalised landscape and an increased use of digital/data products in a more product-led environments. The expectation is that the appointed candidate will have a technical foundation and will have worked heavily in applications and digital with some data knowledge. You should have the ability of delivering data/API focussed B2B / B2C backbones in a complex environment, whilst also being able to demonstrate where you have built capability.
