Finance Analyst

High Wycombe

£30,000 + 10% bonus +study support

Due to year on year growth, a well renowned business are looking to bolster the finance team with an ambitious Finance Analyst.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is studying ACCA or CIMA to gain more analytical exposure whilst developing their technical skill set.

Full study support will be provided for the right individual and the company is committed to guide and developing you through your studies.

Due to the nature of the role we do need individuals who have some fundamental technical accounting experience (month end duties)

What will you be doing…

  • Ensure the day to day management and reporting of key business costs are completed
  • Deliver weekly business reporting, accurately and on time
  • Report on the daily sales and margin in a timely manner
  • For your areas of responsibility, you will be responsible for:
    • Preparing monthly prepayments, accruals and journal postings
    • Providing balance sheet reconciliations monthly
    • Providing flash forecasts monthly
    • Delivering the month end P&L, providing meaningful variance analysis to budget, forecast and last year
    • Delivering the annual budget and quarterly forecast including reviewing and challenging with the relevant budget holders
  • Use Excel and Business Objects to provide insightful reports and dashboards to the business to assist in analysis and decision making
  • Provide insight and analysis of cost lines by utilising strong relationships built with internal and external business partners
  • Liaise with auditors as required
  • Ensure ad-hoc analysis is completed as required
