Finance Director

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will be responsible for driving effective financial control (governance, policy and process), assess risks and implement corrective actions in order to deliver revenue growth, cost reduction and profit improvement across the business. Key responsibilities will include:

• Provision of financial support and commercial analysis to the CEO and senior management team
• Providing in depth analysis to help improve levels of profitability through improved decision making based on financial metrics
• Improve the inventory management system to ensure efficient stock management and utilisation
• Ensure an environment of rigorous financial and cost control across the business
• Driving change across the finance function which is currently split across multiple locations to create a consolidated centre with regional business partnering.
• Deliver improved profitability through review and monitoring of all key customer and supplier contracts
• Manage working capital and efficiently control and forecast cash
• Lead the strategic planning, annual budget and forecasting process
• Design and implement a robust "fit for purpose" Capital Investment and Contract tendering process
• Manage the year end audit process
• Lead the planning, development and management for UK HR, IT and Procurement functions
• Identify and assess business risk and implement appropriate business contingency and mitigation plans to ensure that business targets are achieved.

This is a highly varied role that will requires strong interpersonal skills as the Finance Director will be responsible for setting the vision for finance and then implementing the change. The business works in a time pressurised environment and people who are used to working on long term contracts or within the logisitics, 3PL, BPO, sector would be at an advantage.
