Finance Manager

A client of mine based in Birmingham (walking distance from the train station) is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to work closely with the Finance Director to meet the key business objectives.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the Division's financial controls and management reporting processes, including month-end close and reconciliation process and preparation of monthly management accounts and associated KPI reports. You will provide leadership, direction and guidance to Management Accountants, Purchase Ledger Clerks and Sales Ledger Clerk and develop and drive through new, efficient systems and processes to support the business and provide financial control and review.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the timely production of monthly management accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations,
• Review the work and outputs from the Management Accountants to ensure accuracy,
• Assist the Finance Director in conducting ad-hoc operational and financial analysis where required,
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and functioning effectively.

The successful candidate will be Qualified ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified By Experience. Experience of running a management accounting function is key in order to succeed in this role.
