Head of PMO (set-up)

We are looking to appoint a Head of PMO for a services business currently running multiple decentralised projects.

Initially the role will be to set up the PMO function from scratch, and take ownership of the PMO governance for all projects. Thereafter, you will be responsible for training an internal candidate to take over BAU.

The role will entail setting up and providing the formal, centralised layer of project control and integration, and to build on the service to provide continuous improvement for all projects.

The role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual, capable of operating confidently and decisively at a senior level of the organisation, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate for this role will have experience setting up a PMO from scratch, including all reporting, governance and management. They will have experience working with project methodology and PMO processes. They must have the ability to set up and develop PMO governance and deliver automation and continuous improvement.
