Programme Manager

Programme manager: Permanent

This client is looking for a strong programme manager to come on board and deliver a key programme of work that will have significant transformation impact over the next few years.

The programme manager will lead this transformation journey which will be delivering c£30 million of recurring benefits from an investment of c£70m over a 2 year period and will have accountability of delivering the programme within the transformation portfolio ensuring time, cost and quality will optimise profession and other resources along with establishing PM methodologies and tools.

You will need the following experience:

• Identifying team development needs, shaping the knowledge and development plan, and coaching and developing the P3M resource (programmes, projects managers and deployment teams) across the Strategy and Transformation team to effectively deliver the programme
• Identifying, monitoring and managing the risks and issues and issues within the programme, working with sponsors and other stakeholders to identify and deploy suitable mitigation
• Wide ranging and deep knowledge of processes, tools and techniques to deploy highly complex and interdependent projects within a live operational environment.
• Knowledge of mail operations (or similar dispersed network utility / service organisations)
• Establishing and managing project and programme reviews at appropriate points and levels throughout the project lifecycle, drawing on the independent support of the Group Risk & Internal Control team as appropriate
• Proven experience of delivering programmes in excess of £50 million and ideally a national portfolio.
• Proven experience of leading large professional project teams in dynamic environments (> 50 people and geographically dispersed subsets totalling > 900 people)
