Job description


My client is looking to appoint a temporary Purchase Ledger clerk due to an uplift in volume of workload. This role will suit a "self starter" who is used to a busy Accounts Payable department.

You will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Logging, maintaining and filing invoices.
  • Payment authorisation.
  • Payment processing.
  • Investigating purchase ledger queries.
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
  • Maintaining the accuracy of vendor details.
  • Production of reports

The successful candidate must have worked within Purchase ledger roles and be comfortable that they can get to grips with the tasks within a few days induction. You will be required to be office based for possible 2 weeks then the client is happy for you to work remotely once you are comfortable and confident in the role. There may be odd days following this in the office but likely 1 day a week / fortnight.
