LOCATION:
Greater Boston Area
TITLE:
Research Associate, AAV Upsteam Process Development
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support experiments related to optimizing critical parameters for vector production including cell culture optimization, transfection efficiency, and bioreactor set-points scales from shake flasks to 50L
- Assist in routine production of vectors to support downstream and analytical development, and internal research efforts
- Collaborate with the downstream, analytics and vector biology teams
- Ability to manage priorities, and engage/communicate in a multidisciplinary environment
- Author technical reports as needed
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc/MSc cellular biology, biochemistry, engineering, or virology
- Direct industry experience with bioreactor operations and development for viral vector or biologics products
- Proficient with upstream bioprocess equipment for cell culture characterization (blood gas and metabolite analyzers, automated cell counters, etc)
- Expertise in suspension cell culture development- mammalian cell culture preferred
