LOCATION:

Greater Boston Area

TITLE:

Research Associate, AAV Upsteam Process Development

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support experiments related to optimizing critical parameters for vector production including cell culture optimization, transfection efficiency, and bioreactor set-points scales from shake flasks to 50L
  • Assist in routine production of vectors to support downstream and analytical development, and internal research efforts
  • Collaborate with the downstream, analytics and vector biology teams
  • Ability to manage priorities, and engage/communicate in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Author technical reports as needed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BSc/MSc cellular biology, biochemistry, engineering, or virology
  • Direct industry experience with bioreactor operations and development for viral vector or biologics products
  • Proficient with upstream bioprocess equipment for cell culture characterization (blood gas and metabolite analyzers, automated cell counters, etc)
  • Expertise in suspension cell culture development- mammalian cell culture preferred
