Senior Business Analyst - Intelligent Automation

Purpose of the Role
As a member of the Intelligent Automation Team, this role will work to progress IA agenda and embed innovation, working with the business to design, develop and run automated solutions to maximise business benefits.

Specifically, this role will work with the business and the project team to complete the detailed analysis to implement the new process on to the IA solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • To understand the business problem - and propose a business solution using various business analysis tools
  • Ensure completeness in requirements and consider all exception scenarios while dealing with stakeholders
  • Run requirement workshops and manage requirements and communication with stakeholders. Work with stakeholders to define, analyse and document requirements
  • Capture & clarification of business requirements through a range of analysis techniques
  • Providing direct input into project timelines, estimation, action plans & risk management procedures whilst delivering sound delivery strategies & phased approaches to meet business need
  • Acting as a proxy customer with the development teams, facilitating open communication between the customer & development team
  • Driving & reviewing test scripts for both system integration and user acceptance. Driving user acceptance criteria with the customer
  • Provide post implementation support to all configuration changes

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven business analysis experience within an Asset Management or Investment Banking environment with a track record of successful implementations & strong business relationships
  • Strong experience in implementing Document Capture and Digitisation solutions, and understanding of Intelligent Automation technologies, and their application (desirable)
  • Strong experience in business process re-engineering, analysis, user requirement gathering, gap analysis, cost benefit analysis, workshop facilitation & business case development
  • Strong experience working on all phases of the IT systems development life cycle
  • Delivery and results focused with the ability to manage complex client relationships in a challenging environment
  • Sound technical understanding and the commercial acumen to exploit IT for competitive advantage
  • 3rd Party asset management vendor application experience
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • IT Project Management experience across the whole project lifecycle
  • Able to build strong relationships with peers, business counterparts and key stakeholders

Essential Skills

  • An understanding of the principles of intelligent data capture solutions (eg. Kofax, Abbey, etc),
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Lateral thinking, Innovation and process improvement experience will be an added advantage
  • Self- starter and a sense of pro activeness
  • Proven business analysis and project co-ordination experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand complex issues, gather and analyse data into trends / results, structure problems and design solutions.
  • Willing to work flexible, unsociable hours sometimes and potentially travel if needed
  • Awareness of Process Modelling tools (e.g. Case Wise, V-modeller, MS Visio etc.)
  • Key competencies will include Leadership skills, Analytical Expertise, Stakeholder Management & High Quality Orientation

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies used for process improvement
  • Ability to conduct Cost/Benefit analysis
  • Exposure to electronic data capture (eg. Kofax) and reporting tools (eg. Power BI, Tableau)
