Our client is a an impressive market leading business whose service delivery have seen them increase turnover by 40% in the last 3 years. FTSE listed, the company have implemented positive changes across their international network throughout 2019 and this looks set to continue throughout 2020 and beyond

Having experienced a recent structural change within their finance function the CFO has identified the need to recruit a Senior Commercial Analyst to drive decision making after the recent acquisition of another company.

The role will take responsibility for the commercial side of the business from pricing strategies right through to revenue forecast, commercial budgeting, operational reporting and analysis, ROI, devising and implementing commercial strategies all with the aim to drive commercial performance. The business have large aspirations, but a lean finance structure, meaning the level of autonomy offered is unlike most other businesses of this size.

You will need to be flexible in your approach and be able to deal with any commercial / analytical decisions that may come up.

  • Using predictive analytics and financial modelling and commercial acumen to drive pricing improvements and ultimately revenue improvements across the organisation
  • Ongoing review all commercial aspects of the business and then devising strategies to improve performance through analysis, reporting and business partnering.
  • Ownership of the commercial planning function for the group including budgets, forecasting, strategic plans.
  • Ownership of all Management information, ensuring it is relevant and drives the right decisions and actions at all levels of the organisation from store teams to executive board.
  • Manage the assistant analysts (2) responsible for pricing and commercial reporting as well as developing their ability to analyse performance and make commercial decisions

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind and a proven track record of data analysis. You will be qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent with strong numerical skills capable of taking an innovative approach to problem solving in order to guide strategic decision making.
