Job description

Investigo are delighted to be exclusively supporting a large, growing Leicestershire based Client with their recruitment of a Senior Finance Analyst, on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior Finance Analyst will act in the capacity of a trusted business partner with the Buying, Merchandising and Marketing Director and function within the business, providing financial analysis within category and supporting on business decisions. Collaborative work with colleagues at varying levels within the business to report, monitor and manage key financial metrics.

Key Duties will include:

  • Business partner the Buying, Merchandising and Marketing Director.
  • Develop financial modelling, analysis, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives within category, managing sales and margin while understanding cash and inventory implications.
  • Use of internal and external data in order to draw up detailed commercial reports and analysis to make informed suggestions on how to improve company performance metrics.
  • Support, analyse and assist in the preparation of annual sales budget, long-term forecasts and rolling forecasts.
  • Prepare and analyse summaries of results, assess risks and opportunities, and identify key financial issues to be addressed along with recommendations.
  • Automate, refine and continuously improve reporting tools and processes.
  • Look for opportunities to overachieve business goals and implement new ideas and best practice.
  • Understand category profitability and influence strategic decisions.

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual with a proven analytical background. They will possess strong business partnering experience and understanding of wider business impacts. Experience of dealing with and manipulating large volumes of data and strong competency in analytical environment, modelling and presentation are a pre-requisite for this role.

This position will act as the Number 2 to the Head of FP&A and it will therefore offer genuine scope to progress over the next 18-24 months.
