Divisional Financial Controller

Divisional Financial Controller required for my highly successful services sector client based in central Essex.

This recently created post will report directly into the Financial Director and will gain day to day exposure to the senior management and Board within your region providing strategic insight through timely and accurate reporting to maximise future opportunities and reduce risk.

As Divisional Financial Controller you will gain a clear operational understanding of the divisions within your part of the group whilst providing advice, ideas and a consolidated overview to the Board to assist in decision making.

Whilst deputising for the Financial Director when required and attending board level meetings your accountabilities and duties include:

Management, development and mentoring of a team of 5 qualified accountants, oversight of consolidated financial and management reporting along with commentary and P&L ownership and review, provision of decision support through business partnering, oversight of transactional accounting and related processes, cash-flow management, assisting the head office Group reporting team with technical accounting developments and systems improvements and ad-hoc commercial projects.

This role is perfectly suited to technically strong and ambitious Finance Manager or Financial Controller, ACA, or ACCA with circa 5 to 8 years years post qualified experience looking for fast track progression and genuine commercial exposure within a large and high growth business.

The ideal candidate will have sound leadership skills and will be comfortable sitting in board level meetings and building relationships with senior management across several locations.
